Issue Number 18 - April 2011

Allo Allo Solar Power Enthusiasts,

May is here and we're well into solar power season in my native Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately, you've probably been too transfixed by the pomp and ceremony of Britain's royal shenanigans to worry about solar energy.

Or maybe you're more like me, still trying to figure out why the Queen of England is the Head of State in Canada. We're electing a Prime Minister here tomorrow but I'm not sure our PM will make much of a difference if the Queen is still the real head honcho. People tell me her role is largely ceremonial, however, so I guess I should be comforted.

I actually wanted to send a solar panel over to Buckingham Palace as a wedding present for Bill and Kate but then I read an article about how they wanted people to make a donation to charity instead. I thought that was quite generous, considering how tight money can be for a newly married couple.

Anyway, enough about our social betters. May is here and I'm excited about how much sun we're starting to get. More sun = more solar power, of course, and solar power is what we're here for.

On that note, this month we've added a page on the unique "solar tubes" of Solyndra Solar. Find out why these tubes could be a great solution for your commercial rooftop.

Also, check out our page on efficient solar panels and get to know some of the most efficient solar panel brands.

And remember, if you're having trouble finding information on Solar Power Beginner, check out our search feature on the right side of each page. It will help you find everything from free solar panels to a Solar Pathfinder.

Also, please 'Like Us' on facebook so you can spread the word and help SPB Nation to grow.

Best of luck and remember... SPB Nation needs you now more than ever.

Viva la solar revolucion!

You can reach me through our Contact Form if you've got any comments or suggestions.

Good luck in all your solar endeavors!
